“As was supposed” means “As by Law” = “in-laws”, Mary’s Genealogy.
Women held a lower status waaay back then. Everything was done, referred to, via the Man of the house. The people listed in this Geneology are Joseph’s “in-laws”, i.e. Mary’s Genealogy: as was supposed = as by law = in-laws = Mary’s Genealogy down to Jesus.
The Geneology reflected in Matthew is Joseph’s Geneology. Joseph was not Jesus’s Father.
Mary came through Nathan, who was David and Bathsheba’s 3rd son.

His opinions are downright harebrained. Saying that Jewry somehow managed to trick the Romans, including the authorities and historians like Tacitus, into believing that they had publicly tried and executed a fictitious character under such specific circumstances, is ridiculous.
Christians were persecuted for almost three centuries across the Roman Empire yet at no point during this period did the Romans ever deny Christ’s existence, which they would surely have done if the person of Christ, as it is described in the Gospels, were just a hoax concocted by Jewry.
What’s even more ridiculous is to claim that Christianity weakened the Roman Empire and European identity. Anyone who has done their research knows that the Roman Empire fell apart because of plagues and civil wars, which Christians had nothing to do with. What’s more, the Eastern half of the Roman Empire, where most Christians lived, survived for another thousand years and successfully guarded that part of Europe against Muslim invasions.
For some reason, Adam Green always takes the opinions of American sects that do not have Apostolic succession as if they represented the real, historical Christianity.

If Putin shakes hands with a rabbi, or codifies God and religion in the Constitution of Russia, or just says something nice about Jews, Muslims and Christians, Adam Green will immediately take it as proof of a sinister collusion between Putin and Jewry against the rest of the world and scream Noahide, Noahide every ten, fifteen seconds.
